Nation Building Mission
As India navigates through the Amrit Kaal, the next twenty-five years will be of prime impor- tance for the country to transition as a developed nation. Our nation’s space power would prove to be one of the most important building blocks. With a strong foundation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) talent, affordable technology development and conducive policies, India is well-positioned to leverage its space sector for growth.
The coming decade will significantly boost the space industry, driven by public sector, a thriving start-up ecosystem, and increased private sector involvement in space commercialization. This growth will require many highly skilled professionals, including scientists, engineers, astronomers, astronauts, astrophysicists, and space entrepreneurs, to develop innovative space technologies and propel humanity towards interplanetary exploration and travel.
Kalpana Chawla Space Academy is committed to the ‘Nation Building Mission’. Our vision involves cultivating a passion for space, science, and technology among children, nurturing their curiosity, and developing the scientific acumen and skills required to meet the evolving needs of India’s space industry. Our goal is to develop world-class space scientists contributing to the growth of the Indian space sector. To further achieve this, we are actively exploring collaborative opportunities with various institutions to strengthen our capabilities and resources, with further details to be announced in due course.
